We didn't think it would happen, but we now have ears of corn! I'm so happy this whole garden thing is working out. I am totally sold on the "square-foot garden". I highly recommend the book All New Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew. You'd think a book on gardening would be pretty lame, but it's actually a good read.

We still have the big ol' garden area but I know many people who do the square foot garden and they get alot of produce. Your corn is looking good!
I've always said that I feel the richest when I can go out and pick my own food.
Now that October is here, we've had a frost and most of our garden is gone. (mixed emotions)
