"You have your hands full."
"You're done, right?"
"Twins! You are blessed." (which is usually followed by...)
"Two sets of twins! Bless your heart!"
It doesn't bother me. People are usually very kind. But, today, while at Walmart with all 6 kids, this comment was a first:
"Hope you live in a big shoe."
It was actually refreshing to hear something different. Plus, the man who said it was just joking. So, when I got home, I looked up the nursery rhyme. It goes something like this:
There was an OLD WOMAN who lived in a shoe.
She had so many children, she didn't know what to do;
She gave them some broth without any bread;
Then whipped them all soundly and put them to bed.
Yikes! Obviously, I feed my children a balanced diet and I don't whip them, but I suspect (actually, I know) that I didn't look my best. Tomorrow, at the very least I'm putting on some mascara.

Austin, you are amazing!
They make those comments because they're JEALOUS! You are an amazing mom, Austin!
...and they are all such cute little "toesies"...dark eyes and dimples, what a combination.
If mascara keeps us from looking old, I'm putting it on twice today!
You'll always get comments-some good, some negative. It's good you're such a wonderful mother and your kids are so dang cute!!
