All people have their pet peeves. Mine--finding the brand new hand towel on the bathroom floor, RIGHT next to the toilet (where two little boys frequent, mind you). So, to save myself that hourly frustration and to save myself from doing more laundry, I tried paper towels. I bought a metal paper towel holder and hung it on the wall right next to the sink. Perfect. I soon discovered that every time someone tried to tear off a paper towel, the roll would fall to the floor and the spring loaded paper towel holder would slam shut with a loud "bang". The boys just ended up drying their hands on their pants, fearing the holder would make that loud sound. Alas, the only thing left to do was to set the paper towel roll on the back of the toilet. This proved to work best, but I still found the entire roll lying on the floor way too many times.
So, this is what we've come to....
Public restroom paper towels in a Clif Bar box. I'm feeling hopeful.

lol! That is my pet peeve, too! I've "thought" about sewing some cheap ribbon on to each side of the towel so I could tie the 2 sides together so it won't fall off, but I have yet to actually do it. Paper towels are a great idea, too! Whatever works!
Michelle, that is a good idea! Wish I would have thought about that before I bought 4,000 paper towels!
